Our Mission: Sheep Among Wolves
Mar 1, 2026 • Mez McConnell
The sermon explored Matthew 10:16-25, where Jesus prepares His disciples for the harsh realities of mission work. Far from the sanitized, comfortable version of Christianity we often embrace in the Western church, Jesus painted a sobering picture: we are sent as sheep among wolves, facing persecution, betrayal, and opposition. Yet within this difficult calling lies a profound truth—Christ equips us, stands with us, and promises that those who endure to the end will be saved. This passage challenges us to count the cost of discipleship and reminds us that effective mission isn't about comfort or strategy, but about faithfulness to Christ regardless of the consequences.
