Praying the Psalms: Psalm 56
Mar 29, 2026 • Pastor Jason Dirks
The sermon explored how even the most courageous believers experience fear, and what we should do when those fearful moments come. David, the same man who faced Goliath as a teenager, found himself afraid when hiding among the Philistines. His psalm teaches us that fear isn't always rational, and admitting our fears isn't weakness—it's honesty before God. The key is learning to replace misplaced fear with faith in God's Word, cultivating the right kind of fear (the fear of the Lord), and trusting that if God is for us, no circumstance can ultimately defeat us.
